A different kind of burn
I could feel a bit of the burn yesterday and even today. I felt a different kind of burn and a different kind of exhaustion than I have for a while. This reminded me more of high school sports more than heavy lifting. I think that is a good thing. I think it means that I am getting into some of the kind of training that can be done with increased frequency and can lead to good fat loss. I managed to go from 185 to 140 in a couple years with a major body composition change and a whoel ton of calories back then. Then again, time do change. We’ll see I’ll play with this kind of workout more after the competition. So far, I am enamoured.
I still hope to squeeze Providence in today.

Hey, I’m trying understand more about what you’re doing…do you have your immediate and long term goals posted on your website? From your workout descriptions, it seems you are on a quest for ultimate strength while overcoming various challenges and having fun. But sometimes you mention fat loss. Is the fat loss part of a goal for seeking relative strength or acheiving a competitive weight class?

I am officially semi busted ๐
My goals are poorly organized and all over the place. I think it would be a good exercise for me to put them in writing. I’ll try to write them out for tomorrow, criticism will be invited.

Mike, join the club. Time to do a bit of serious goal setting here.

I have my goals set up pretty well – I just keep taking detours from the path too often.
