Yoga

I finally did it, kinda, I got up and did some yoga. My alarm went off at five, got up and set my alarm back, laid back down and realized I needed to get up. I finally convinced myself after five minutes to get my butt up and do it. The debate in my head was great:

You’ll feel great afterward
No I won’t, I’ll be tired
Get your butt up so you can at least say you did it
Screw anyone who says anything, they don’t have to get up and do it
You lazy bastard, you have been talking about this forever, you have no excuse
Fine, —-er
screw you too

This is my first time ever actually trying. I went along with the DVD as best I could but it was tough. I knew I didn’t have the flixibilty but some of the poses were hard on my strength too. Downward Dog, I hate that thing. There’s one point where the guy puts you in it and spends the next two minutes talking about breathing deep and not reacting, I think I was reacting up a storm by the end of that. The flexibilty issues is a whole other issue unto itself. Tight hammies, achelies (sp?) waist, shoulders. Fortunatly all were worked during the course of the video. I had to stop the video about ten minutes short so I had time to get ready for work. I’m going to adjust my schedule so I don’t have to do that in future.
Ideally I would like to do yoga three mornings and do some kettlebells three days a week. I’m not sure that will happen but it would be nice.
There is something to this morning yoga stuff. I felt awake and alive driving to work. I feel good now, I hope I can keep it up.
