Anvil or Hammer

The title comes from a comment I got from someone watching me do 3X2 with 345 today, I liked it.

Plate pinch i set 10 count with two thirty fives
Strap holds – yep, I’m placing a piece of parachute cord between the plates and doing plate pinch strap holds. I did 75, 80 and 85 for a ten count. It was a nice variation

Finger curls – 3X10 with 135

That’s it for now, off to dinner. I think I’ll find me some meat tonight.

Try to do some CoC and spring(pony) clamp work when I get back

Wrist Intensity

Did an upperbody workout yesterday and thus a wrist day

Wrist curl:
3X6 95 I think a person could really argue that the final set was not a real wrist curl set. I cheated a lot. These make my wrists hurt. I think it is a matter of getting used to the weight.

Reverse wrist curl:
3X10 45 I should have done more reps, these were pretty easy.

Wrist roller:
used my broomstick wrist roller with 550 (parachute cord). Did one rep with 15 counter clockwise (extensors). I couldn’t get a second rep up. I reduced to 10lbs I got it rolled up clockwise (flexors) but couldn’t get it down under control. These were a lot harder than I expected, the stick is so small you only get it rolled it up like an inch and a half per rotation.

used the marking one the sledge. I did about five rotations to the side. I also flipped the hammer over and did it with the head down. It makes for a good change on the exercise. I also did the typical lever exercise and found 6 to be too easy so I will have to make it harder. I also flipped it over again and found this to be a different exercise and a nice variation. I probably did about four of each. My wrists were sore from the previous curls. I think I will enjoy these exercises more later.
